Proceedings Coordinator

Full-time, 40 hours per week position available, with flexible work hours.
Description of Duties:
- Coordinates the publication of conference proceedings content, including manuscripts and other digital media
- Works with conference chairs and authors to ensure timely, accurate publication, while maintaining appropriate editorial standards and style
- Maintains daily correspondence with authors, conference chairs, and other departments within SPIE to ensure that deadlines are met.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent editorial or publishing project management experience
- Strong organization skills and strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with multiple, overlapping deadlines
- Strong facility with word processing, database, and spreadsheet software

Compensation and Benefits package includes:
- Competitive wage, annual discretionary bonus. Based on qualifications and performance, there is room to grow on our full wage scale of $20.58 per hour- $29.86 per hour.
- Medical, dental & vision benefits provided (100% employer paid premium for the employee, 75% employer paid premium for the dependents).
- Defined retirement contribution: SPIE provides an automatic 5% contribution PLUS SPIE offers UP to 5% matching contributions and 100% vested immediately.
- Paid Time Off plan beginning at 31 days per year.
